Communicating in Yorùbá: Language of the Òrìṣà
The Yorùbá language of West Africa is the means of communicating with the pantheon of Òrìṣà in the Yorùbá cosmology. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how to communicate in the language so as to be able to speak with one's Òrìṣà. This is an introductory course for beginners or non-Yorùbá speakers (those who are not First Language Speakers of Yorùbá) about communicating in the Yorùbá language.
The four weeks classes will commence with learning how to recite the Yoruba Alphabets, understanding the Yorùbá Grammar, and culminate in everyday conversation. Students will be given assignments, which would be submitted in audio format via WhatsApp. The four weeks course will explore the different Yorùbá greetings.

Adéṣínà Ayẹni (Ọmọ Yoòbá)
Adéṣínà otherwise known as Ọmọ Yoòbá is the founder of Yobamoodua Cultural Heritage, a multimedia
journalist, digital and cultural rights activists who has more than ten years
of experience in Radio Broadcasting and Media Marketing.
Ọmọ Yoòbá has dedicated nine years of his professional career to the preservation, development and dissemination of the Yorùbá language.
He is a two-time research fellow for the Firebird Foundation for Anthropological Research with over 200 oral literature of the Yorùbá people of West Africa in the archive.
He is an instructor, who teaches the Yorùbá dance, arts (tie/dye...) and language. Ọmọ Yoòbá is also the Global Voices Yorùbá Lingua Manager.
